About Me

I work with adults and teens who are processing or exploring an aspect or multiple aspects of themselves. I approach our work together with curiosity and acceptance, and hope that this leads you to better accept yourself. I have ten years of experience working in community mental health. Most of this work has been with queer and transgender adults and young people, those who have survived trauma, and parents. I identify as someone who has been both immensely harmed and immensely helped by the mental health system, and I use these experiences to inform my practice through a collaborative lens, believing that you know what is best for yourself. My approach strives to be grounded in compassionate witnessing for who you are, what has happened to you, and what you have made of those experiences.

Like many healers, I pull from a variety of modalities, which may include narrative therapy, interpersonal therapy, DBT skills, and somatic practices. I find that the terms we use in the mental health field are often not accessible or easy to navigate, and I would love to discuss with you with this means for our work together in tangible terms. My intention as a therapist is to provide both space for processing as well as practical tools. I strive to be a provider based in liberation theory, believing that we all deserve to be free.

In other areas of my life, I enjoy spending time with my wife and kid in nature, doing projects, and moving my body.
